Winter days aren’t always the brightest of days. So those of us that thrive on sunshine (like me) force ourselves to find the strangest of substitutes. Lest we become depressed and/or deranged.
These glitter flats are the perfect bright and sparkly find for a sunshine substitute! And even better, they’re flats which means… they can be my sunshine all day every day!
Just kidding. There’s no lounging around going on over here. Just work, lots of work. Wish I were home already in my comfy cute shorts… Oh Monday, you’re just the beginning of a very busy week.
SNOWPOCALYPSE IS UPON US! At least that’s what the news is saying… Given the dire state of our city, I (and I’m sure the rest of the office) decided to work from home. And let me tell you, it has been one productive day!
I gave myself a much needed manicure.

Kept myself warm and cozy.
And assured myself I did the right thing by not going into the office today.
Did I do some “real work”?
How could I knowing the whole city could get buried under snow at any minute?!?!
Who started that nasty little rumor about brown and black not matching? Whoever it was must’ve been pretty persuasive. Even I was guilty of spreading that rumor once… when I was young, insecure, and just getting into personal style yet still wanting to fit in (high school). And I’ll always regret it.
Brown and black obviously go together, saying otherwise is akin to saying peanut butter and Oreos don’t go together (a heinous crime worthy of shame and humiliation). That being said, wearing the two colors together is a bit tricky. But blogger Dylana expertly punches up her black skinny jeans with our taupe wedges, proving for the umpteenth time that brown and black are a rad combo.
