The DV team had the best weekend ever helping out at Goldie Maple Academy. The inner kid in us was so excited to get elbows deep in some glitter and markers. We painted a mural, made masks, and decorated cards… then we played our favorited school yard games – double dutch and kick ball! Our friends at Tutu’s in Bushwick even had a delicious BBQ for us. But hands down, the best part of the weekend was putting a smile on the kids’ faces and supporting a community still recovering from Hurricane Sandy.
If you’re looking for a fun activity this weekend, we highly recommend grabbing your friends and checking out New York Cares!
It’s spring. Time to ditch the dark colors. And nothing says goodbye to winter and hello to the sun like an all white outfit. Think of it as a staple, like the Little Black Dress but for when the weather steps it up. Effortless and minimal but perfectly on trend. Check out how white makes any outfit the ultimate in chic.

As promised, we’re back with the second tutorial of the week. On Monday Blanca from Bonnet by Blanca showed us how to make a flower crown in just four steps. Today we’re trying something new- a flower belt.
You will need: About 10-15 silk flowers, 1 yard of ribbon, 1 felt square, hot glue gun, and scissors.
