In honor of Spring, we bring you two tutorials that even the least crafty among us could do. First up is this big and bright flower crown. Read on as our friend Blanca from Bonnet by Blanca walks us through it.
You will need: a variety of fake flowers, leaves and berries, wreath wire, scissors, wire cutting pliers, and floral tape.
Not only was the music amazing during week one of Coachella, but the pool parties were equally as banging! Every pool in the city of Palm Springs had something going on and you know we got in on the action as well. We teamed up with the Ace Hotel to host their Desert Gold party on Saturday and Sunday. The highlight of the weekend was definitely the Reggae music and dancers. Those girls were working it, and we sprung for the chance to get a dance lesson! Miss Lily’s of NYC served up some delicious jerk chicken and the free drinks were flowing from our bar as well. All in all it was a pretty perfect weekend.

So weekend one of Coachella just happened, and it was a huge fashion moment for bringing back trends from the 60′s. All things cropped, fringed, floral, and cut-off were favorites for fashionable festival goers. But, with the blazing sun warming temperatures up to the 90′s it was pretty hard to wear anything more than a bikini! And trust us, lots of girls ended up going that route…

We’ve made it to Palm Springs! On Friday we arrived at the Ace Hotel ready for our mission: fun, sun, and adventuring.
We’re determined to pack in as much fun as possible, so after settling in at the Ace we set off to see some regional oddities before hitting up Coachella. First stop: “Pioneer Town”. Its an old movie set from the forties that now features cute little shops and one of the radest bars you’ll ever see, Pappy and Harriets.
Moving on from the wild west, we headed straight out-of-this-world to the legendary Integretron. Rumor has it, a twenty minute session inside will make you ten years younger! Of course we signed right up.
Feeling rejuvenated after our Integretron sound bath it was time to get our booties over to Coachella and see some bands!
Our Friday night at Coachella was just the beginning of this weekend’s wildness. Saturday and Sunday we’ll be at the Ace Hotel hosting the Stargazing Deck from 1pm-5pm and then hitting up Coachella for more music and madness. Hope to see you there!
