Happy Freaking Valentine’s Day

This, my friends, is how I plan on spending my Valentine’s Day. And by that I mean… in bed. Alone. Probably wearing something cute (I’m crazy like that). But instead of the chic scene below, my bed (and face) will probably be covered in ice cream and doughnuts.

Just to be clear, this is a choice I’ve made here. V Day is just not my scene.

Don’t you just hate it when your friends go on an amazing vacation and send you a ton of cute pictures? “Oh, here’s me at the beach!” “Here’s me again eating yummy food!!” “And here’s me just being all happy and warm in the sun!!!”

Our friends are currently living it up in Hawaii. Of course they are practically living in our favorite summer sandal…. and sending us obnoxiously cute photos!

It takes a certain kind of mind to say, “You know what? I think I need another jacket on top of my jacket.” That kind of mind has the layering technique down.

We love how blogger Kaitlyn layers it up. Mixing different shades of neutrals and different textures, then bringing it all together with a pop of orange…. layering like a BOSS!

Daydreaming

It was payday yesterday. Any fashion obsessed shopping addict knows what that means… time to blow your salary on new shoes, dresses, and Hello Kitty phone cases! I have a problem, I’ll admit it. My ~~therapist~~ Mom says admitting my addiction is the first step. The second step is to hide all credit cards.

Now that buying anything is out of the question, I’ve resolved to frequenting the internet–the place where dreams are born. And I birth dreams A LOT. Right now, I’m dreaming about this perfectly crisp white lace dress.

Moment in the sun

I’m having quite the predicament here. This winter has been so mild, I’ve been able to see the sun 3 days in a row this week. It’s almost like a tropical vacation compared to what I’m used to! (Must be global warming, or whatever)

I would love to bare leg it, like blogger Megan over here. Just throw on a breezy dress and an over sized sweater and forget about tights or socks. But… I don’t live in Cali, and it’s still technically winter for another month or so here.

Should I give my gams their moment in the sun? Will people judge me if I do? Do I even care?

This week Dolce Vita had one of its biggest and best parties to date! It was all in celebration of our Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Bloggers, buyers, editors, stylists, friends, family, zombie pandas, all made an appearance to drink free booze, mingle, and get a look at our Fall lines!

Don’t be a sadsie if you couldn’t make it, I barely remember being there myself (I mentioned the free booze right?). Good thing I got my hands on these photos so we can relive the night together!
