Tori, Operations – “I want to get all my DIY projects done that I bought supplies for, so I have a couple weeks left to wear those tie-dyed shorts! Also, I really want to go to the zoo and have a picnic before summer is over!”
Scott, Photography – “I neeeed to find a reason to get back in the water one last time this summer!!! Labor Day weekend on a river sounds like a good excuse to me!”
Corrie, Production – “I would like to get in one more camping trip before the weather turns – I hope it’s not too late!”
Nicole, Operations – “My goal before the end of summer is to set aside a day for canning to make fresh jam and pickles. Nerd alert.”

I don’t know about you guys, but it takes A LOT for me to step outside of the box when it comes to my makeup. I wear the same combination of bronzer, winged eyeliner and mascara anywhere I go. I mean, it has to be a pretty fancy night for me to even break out the eyeshadow! However, there’s one fall makeup trend that caught my interest for it’s simplicity and versatility. Loving the fresh look of a bare, “makeup-less” face (yeah right…), lashes for days, and a deep red lip. Basic enough to pull off in the day with confidence and I can’t even handle how chic this would be with a top-knot for a night out.
For makeup success, I recommend evening out your skin tone with something light like a tinted moisturizer, unless you are one of those people with naturally gorgeous skin, which I would totally envy you for. Go minimal on the bronzer/blush, if any, no liner, and plenty of mascara to add length. Then get on that dark lip color. I’m using Revlon Lip Butter (obsession!) in Sugar Plum! Check out my attempt. A little more real-life-friendly then the runway version, but still packs a punch!
I love the way blogger Rachel from Jag Lever pairs our gold lace romper with chunky boots and an oversized hat. She definitely wins the gold for the perfect summer to fall look!
Yes… I know I’m way late with the whole Olympics thing, seeing as it’s already over. But I’m not over it! I STILL haven’t seen the closing ceremonies. Did anyone DVR it? Can I come over, raid your fridge, and watch it?
