Mother’s Day is this Sunday and I cannot wait to spend the day with the #1 lady in my life! There are also quite a few mamas in our office that can’t wait to be pampered all day either! In celebration of Mother’s day here’s a shout out to all the lovely moms in our office and to all our wonderful moms at home.

I plan to spend my first mother’s day with my handsome husband and my precious new son Henry Jones Carlton in the sun! No need for gifts, this one week old bundle of joy is enough for me. We were so blessed with such an amazing gift that will just keep on giving!

Pictured are me, baby girl (in belly), and my “son”, Tatey. This Mother’s Day my mom and I are going to go shopping for all things baby, so I’ve been busy reorganizing my closets and making room for all of the new stuff! My husband built shelves for additional shoe storage in our hall closet (for real, shoe-specific storage!) so that’s one category I won’t really have to pare down. It’s great foresight on his part, because if my mom and I are any indication this baby will need some space to store her shoe collection as well.

Like most working mothers I try to enjoy every moment that I can spend with my children. This Mother’s Day I will spend at home with my family. All of my children are busy preparing presents for me. I hear them arguing over whose present I will like the most, so I will take it to my work desk. I already have a pretty big collection of them on my desk, and space is limited because of my less creative than their gifts work papers. But all three of them already know that I already have the most amazing gift. The most precious gifts are: my loved ones, my kids! - Alla, finance

This is the only pic I could on Facebook that we weren’t making ridiculous faces. Anyway, I love being a mom because children are a blessing from God. The last twelve years as a mom have been incredibly joyful and one of my favorite Mother’s Days was waking up to breakfast made by my boys. - Brittain, finance/retail

Last Mother’s Day was my first, and best. Having a full day to hang out with your kid—while focusing on how crazy amazing it is to be a mom—is pretty much the most fulfilling way you can spend a day. Also, my husband knows that I like to celebrate with a little shopping. He took us out for the afternoon and we bought adorable baby outfits for our daughter, and a special treat for MOM. I showed a lot of restraint, and he kept asking me, “Are you sure you’ve gotten enough?” That’s pretty much the sweetest thing a man can say to me, so I felt very special. This year I’m looking forward to more of the same! - Krista, marketing/web

My Mom is the bee’s knees. She always puts up with my antics. I’m excited to spend Mother’s Day/her birthday in Chicago with her. - Carly, production

My mom is so amazing, she decided to spend the weekend camping–without me. PS. My mom is better than yours. - Jenn, production

I love my mom and her quiet, creative spirit. I see a lot of her in myself, which I’m grateful for. - April, photography

My mom is one special lady. I’m pretty sure that she loves shoes more than I do! I am looking forward to hanging out at her cozy house this weekend. - Chelsea, web/e-commerce

She makes me feel like I am already the person I strive to someday be. I think that is the greatest gift a mom could give! - Jenny, apparel

My mom and I have the best relationship ever. She loves to call me while she’s in the bathroom. I love to tell her everything, especially the stuff she doesn’t want to hear. Most of the time I try to deny that we’re anything alike at all. But secretly I wish I was more like her – confident, strong, and free spirited. Mom, I love you more than anything! Oh, and can I get my sunglasses back, thanks. - Kim, marketing

My mama approaches life and everything she does in a thoughtful, caring way and with bottomless energy. She will never cease to surprise and inspire me and I will forever be thankful to have the mother I was given. Hands down, my sister has the best sense of humor of anyone I know and was blessed with a child equally as quirky and funny. I have looked up to her my entire life and seeing her become a mother is absolutely no exception. Something I should also mention: my mom’s amazing bangs. They are a constant source of inspiration for me–obviously! Ha! Best bangs ever!

The rest of my family is out of town for Mother’s Day this year so not only do I get her all to myself, but I also get to look like the ‘Golden Child’ in her eyes. Brunch and some shopping sounds about right for Sunday. After all, she is my style icon! She gives the best shopping advice!

My mom is the most amazing person because of how much she has supported me throughout my life. She’s never judged me, doubted me or let me down. I can interrupt her dinner multiple times in one night, just to triple check that I’m doing everything right when I brave the kitchen. Above all, she makes me laugh, has been there for me when I cry and is one of the strongest women I know. I’m looking forward to spending the whole day (and maybe the night) with her and my family.
