What’s the first thing you see when you look at a person? I see shoes. Mostly because my head is already tilted downwards and I’ve got my phone whipped out texting, tweeting, facebooking, emailing, and generally avoiding all physical human interaction (I love talking to people! Just not face to face).
But anyways, I am a firm believer — and I know I’m not the only one — that your shoes make you or break you.
I mean, look at blogger Daniella’s outfit. My first thought is, “OMG, how rad! I could live in this.” But let’s imagine the same white tank top and jorts with sneakers… now I’m thinking “ew, did you forget you’re not at the gym?” And now let’s imagine some flip flops… “how rude, that’s just asking for a slap in the face.”
See? Having a great pair of shoes totally makes an outfit.
My girl crush Jessica, from Vintage Virgin is back! And she’s taking our favorite oxfords out on the town.
After our last office party, I’m convinced we NEED to put together an office recipe book! These girls (definitely not including me) really know how to throw down in the kitchen.
