The most wonderful thing happened yesterday! No, not The Golden Globes… don’t waste my time, if Ryan Gosling won’t be there I don’t care. I’m talking about our first winter snow!

Even the slightest coating of powder on the streets is like a natural disaster over here. The whole city shuts down. Cars are abandoned. City dwellers run rampant through the streets, pillaging in their Uggs and old hoodies. Seriously, people seem to use brisk weather as an excuse for dressing poorly (as if warm and chic were some sort of style oxymoron).

If you are one of those people, take a cue from blogger Veronika who bundles up with lots of layers, textures, and prints. Oh and having an adorable puppy to snuggle up with helps too!
